As an African American woman employed in corporate America for 20+ years, there were countless times when I felt my only option to present my hair professionally was to relax my hair.  During this time, I was obligated to bi-weekly hair appointments to maintain relaxed hair. This became a hassle as it affected how/when I exercised, and swimming was out of the question! Ultimately, I decided to no longer allow my hair to dictate my lifestyle, and I made the big chop!

 

     My journey was filled with mixed emotions, as I learned to embrace all phases and complexities of my natural hair.  As I researched natural styles which fit my lifestyle, I excitedly decided on Sisterlocks™!  As I continued to enjoy the freedom and flexibility Sisterlocks™ offered, I enrolled in Sisterlocks™ training. Today, I am a Qualified Trainee in the process of becoming a Certified Consultant. At NexusLocs, I offer Sisterlocks™ and Microlocks installation and maintenance. I hope to become a part of your hair journey soon.
